Things will pass away

Yesterday, we had a team building event at work. Memories flooded into my mind as the coordinators led us to a vacant office suite – my old workplace.

I strolled along the hallways and glanced at the offices and meeting rooms. Familiar voices and laughter echoed in my head as images of my former colleagues appeared before my eyes.

A Bible verse popped into my mind as my thoughts lingered: Things in this world will pass away.

  2. Great verse that reminds us to have an eternal perspective on life!

It is strange to visit a familiar spot and hear the old voices. I am glad that God has given me the gift of memory. Some memories are not my favorite, but I can pass by them in search of the good ones.

    Hi, Dicky,

All of the things of this world certainly do pass away! There is so much going on around us right now, since we are in the generation of the fig tree. I hope I can experience the Second Coming of Christ “live” — just waiting for the Sixth Trump now, and witness how my fellow “Christians” handle the antichrist prior to the coming of Our Lord. I just wonder why more pastors don’t teach the true chain of events, and kind of just skip over our role in dealing with the false Christ. How do you deal with this issue?

    Best,

    ellie
