Yesterday, I went grocery shopping at a Korean supermarket. Shreds of memories from some years ago, when my best friend Kody had visited the same market with me, rolled back into my mind. I felt as if Kody walked beside me and chatted with me. When I reached the tea section, his words rang loud in my ears as I recalled the moment when he told me the brand of tea he liked.
The market didn’t change much, only the food court was no longer there. I remembered Kody and I had a nice meal at one of the shops.
Things change. Things disappear. But my memories of Kody seem afresh. Though he has gone home to be with the Lord, he still lives within my heart.
