Anxious to find a better job, I faced rejection or no-response at every opportunity I sought from companies I knew were hiring. Closed doors were the order of the day. Why didn’t God open any doors for me? Was I going to be stuck in my current position . . . forever?
In November, something mysterious happened during a phone interview. A hiring manager claimed he had talked to me earlier but my memory failed to record that conversation. All I remembered was a friend of mine had given him my resume.
“Sir, I’m sorry, but I don’t recall ever speaking with you,” I replied, creasing my brows.
“Yes, I have talked with you earlier,” the manager kindly responded as he described our contact.
After the interview, I pondered over and over what he had told me. Who could have made this happen? Almighty God could; He always does the impossible.
I prepared myself for the in-person interview the hiring manager had extended and released the rest to God. I knew nothing could stand in His way if this opportunity came from His will.
Arriving late for the interview due to unexpected time delays, I wasn’t really nervous, as I knew the Lord was with me. Hours of conversations later, I left the campus and drove home with a smiling heart.
On Tuesday, December 2nd, the company gave me an official offer. God finally delivered me after six months of job hunt. During this period, He had opened my spiritual eyes to see my sins and molded me into the person He wanted me to be. He had prepared me for my next job.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14 (NIV)

That is great to hear! I know how it can to have to wait and trust God for His timing and His plan. I am currently in that waiting period and every door that I approached has been a closed one. I’m just trying to trust God that He will lead me to the right job. Thanks for sharing!
