Around 1 p.m. today, I couldn’t pull my eyes away from an e-mail.
I gaped at the subject line ‘Story Accepted Contract Enclosed.’ Then I drifted my gaze to the sender’s address and recognized her name. It was from OakTara Publishers. I opened the e-mail and read it. The coordinator congratulated me for winning a place in their romance anthology to be published in December 2012. The book will be a wonderful Christmas gift for my lovely wife, and I will become a published author.
I prayed earnestly every single day about my submission and the submissions of two other ladies. We waited and waited. During this period, God always reminded me of some Bible verses: Wait patiently for the Lord; take heart. One of the ladies also won a place. I thank God for His blessings upon us, even though I didn’t deserve it.
Months ago, someone discouraged me and said that a romance story written by a man wouldn’t be done very well. That person could underestimate my talent but should never underestimate God’s Power. Our Lord delights in doing the Impossibles for His Glory. If He wants to accomplish His goal, nothing or no one can get in His way. I am here to give Him all the honor and credits for the story He inspired me to write.
I also thank those who supported and encouraged me. Apart from God, I couldn’t have done it without you.
