Jesus died on the Cross to save you and me from our sins. On the third day, He rose from the death.
We Christians are waiting for the great resurrection, the great resurrection that we all will see our Christ in His Kingdom one day. That is the great hope that I always hold tight within my heart.
But do we need to do anything to earn salvation? No! Because His Grace is a free gift.
John 3:16 (NIV) clearly says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Does this beautiful verse mention that we have to do such and such works in order to have eternal life? No! What we need is to accept His free gift into our heart.
In Luke 23:43 (NIV), Jesus said to one of the criminals, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.” That criminal had no more chance to do good deeds because he was dying, but he asked Jesus to remember him. In other words, he accepted the Lord as His Savior. What a great leap of faith!
Our Lord Jesus Christ will forever triumph over death and the deceiver. May His Glory continue to shine this coming Easter. I pray that more and more people may find His Grace and accept it as a free gift.
Good work, Dicky. The truth: not bought, sold, stolen, or traded–a personal gift to each and every one who accepts Christ as Savior. Amen!
