A few months ago, as my employer was planning to move to a new site that will be completed in June 2012, my co-workers and I went to another building to check out models of new office cubicles. We examined each model excitedly and decided which one as the best for each of us. We all looked into a brighter future, a promising future that the company would bring us.
If you read my previous article ‘The Happy Smile On My Face’, you will understand better about my point here. Near the end of this past March, the management announced that the entire programming department will be terminated at the end of April; it is just about a week away from today. We planned our path or future, but a dead end was ahead of us. If we choose to take an offer from another company that our current employer has prepared for us, then we will still have income; otherwise, we have to leave and find a new job.
God has His own thought as His is always higher than ours. For the moment, we all do not see clearly the path God has chosen for us, but we need to trust in Him, trust in His provision and guidance.
Proverbs 3: 5-6 (NIV) say: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Isaiah 55: 8-9 (NIV) say: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
