His Eye Is On The Sparrow
On her article O Sole Mio, Jeanne mentioned about the hymn ‘His Eye is on the Sparrow.’ This song is one of my favorite Christian hymns, and I have it on a CD.
Whenever someone or my wife sings this hymn, I always attentively and quietly listen to it. The soft melody and the heart-touching verses lift my soul heavenward.
Our Lord Jesus Christ always cares for us no matter what situations we are in. His abundant love draws us close to Him as He is our best Friend who listens to our prayers.
On my 16th wedding anniversary, I bought a music box for my wife. It has two sparrows perching on a tree branch and a golden plate on the front that reads ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow and I Know God Cares For Me.’ Of course, it plays this beautiful hymn as well. The pictures you see are taken of the music box.
Matthew 10:29 describes our Father’s Love very well.
