During our Hong Kong trip, one of the Cantonese dishes that we had to have was sweet and sour pork.
This dish looks simple but it is not easy to make such a delicacy. The sauce must be just right in terms of its thickness, its sweetness and its sourness; the pork pieces are deep-fried and must come out to be tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Garnished with slices of pineapple and green pepper, sweet and sour pork will grab everyone’s attention.
The photo you see is the sweet and sour pork that I made last Sunday, 07/31/2011. What do you think?
