Merry Christmas!

December 24, 2011

Dear friends,

I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

May Jesus Christ keep all of us in Love, Hope, Faith and Joy. May all of us know the true meaning of Christmas-Jesus is the Greatest Gift of all; He is the First Gift of Christmas; He is the Free Gift.

Talk to you later.

A Christmas Group Project

December 10, 2011

I am going to make this post very short because I want to catch up on my sleep. Also, I am sorry that I haven’t had the time to read your posts.

Today a group of volunteers, including myself, served lunch to 350 seniors at my church. As I poured coffee for them or handed them cookies, they smiled and said ‘Thank you.’

Their happy faces told me that they felt welcomed; they felt important. I felt the warmth.

Serving the Lord in this group project allowed me to see His Love for the elderly people. He touched their hearts; He smiled; He saw their happy faces.

Have a good sleep.

Christmas Tree

November 27, 2011

My family and I have set up our Christmas tree and decorated our home with Christmas wreaths. Have you?

Let us enjoy the holiday season with a great spirit of Christmas and tell others the True Meaning of Christmas: Jesus is the Greatest Gift of all.

The Awful Mile Run

November 22, 2011

This post is a poem written by my son.

*****

The mile run was horrific,

It was far from terrific,

 My side so painfully aching,

Because of my gym teacher’s making,

It is a very dehydrating pest,

But at least I did my best!

The Violin

Violin (Wikipedia)

This post is a poem written by my son.

*****

Oh how I hate the violin,

It really belongs in the trash bin,

It is the cause of all distress,

And makes me feel so oppressed,

The piano with its black and white,

Would be a hundred times better than that dreadful sight,

The cause of infinite stress,

It is such a horrible pest,

I do not have to play it for long,

Since it makes me so forlorn,

Just a year and a half’

with 10 added to that!

Shoe Box

November 6, 2011

Dear friends,

Every year around November, Samaritan’s Purse, an evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world, collects Shoe Boxes and distribute them to children around the globe as a way to tell them about the Love of Jesus.

My family and I have participated in this special program Operation Christmas Child for years now. It is fun and easy to pack a shoe box. For more information, please click the link above.

I hope that you may participate in this project as well, and I also pray that our Lord may continue to bring His Good News to millions of children through such a meaningful ministry.

In Christ,
Dicky

Friendship in Writings

October 2, 2011

I am so happy that I have met new Christian friends through writer community such as FaithWriters or through other connections.

I pray that through our network we can all support and encourage one another.

Let us continue to write in a way that we can honor the Lord and that others may experience the Love of Christ.

Amen.

In Christ,

Today is…

August 31, 2011

…my birthday!

  • My family treated me a very nice lunch this past Saturday.
  • My boys shouted ‘Happy Birthday’ to me when I stepped into the house after work.
  • My wife gave me a present, but I haven’t opened it yet. Hmm, what’s it?
  • Oh, my boys gave me a box of chocolate cookies.
  • Today at work, my co-workers celebrated my great day with a cake, and one of them gave me a box of organic veggie that he planted in his own garden.
  • I thank God for all the things that He has provided me through my lovely family and friends.
