Today, I received a report from Operation Christmas Child, a Christian ministry by Samaritan’s Purse.
In the report, I saw photos of children who held shoe boxes in their hands and had a big smile on their faces.
I pray that they may find Jesus as the Biggest Gift of all.
You can know more about this ministry at http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/occ.
Watch the videos, look at the photos and read the articles.
Let us spread the Good News to the world.
I haven’t written a real article since December 2011 because I have been very busy working on my first Christian romance novel and learning the craft of writing. I am sorry that I haven’t had the time to visit your blogs. Please accept my apology.
Some of you have already known that my very dear friend Kody went home to be with the Lord last October after battling his cancer for a year. He was only 32 on earth. I wish all of you a Happy New Year.
May the Lord bless all of you with His Love and Peace.
Talk to you in 2012.
I am going to make this post very short because I want to catch up on my sleep. Also, I am sorry that I haven’t had the time to read your posts.
Today a group of volunteers, including myself, served lunch to 350 seniors at my church. As I poured coffee for them or handed them cookies, they smiled and said ‘Thank you.’
Their happy faces told me that they felt welcomed; they felt important. I felt the warmth.
Serving the Lord in this group project allowed me to see His Love for the elderly people. He touched their hearts; He smiled; He saw their happy faces.
Have a good sleep.
Every year around November, Samaritan’s Purse, an evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world, collects Shoe Boxes and distribute them to children around the globe as a way to tell them about the Love of Jesus.
My family and I have participated in this special program Operation Christmas Child for years now. It is fun and easy to pack a shoe box. For more information, please click the link above.
I hope that you may participate in this project as well, and I also pray that our Lord may continue to bring His Good News to millions of children through such a meaningful ministry.
